Why is RED the color of Christmas?
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.– Isaiah 9:6
Why is red the color of Christmas? It’s not because of Christmas lights, or holly berries, or Santa’s red suit.
Red is the color of the blood that flowed from Jesus’ wounds when He died for the sins of the world. The birth of Jesus was for the death of Jesus. The reason for the manger was the cross. Red represents His sacrificial love for you.
That’s the message we are privileged to bring to this world, both at Christmas time and throughout the year
